Overview

The program.

AI Startup Builder is for the ambitious — people who'd rather launch a company than apply for a job. It runs 10 months in two phases: a focused 4-month, build-first founder program, followed by 6 months of real, on-the-job training where you put it all into practice on live products.

In the first four months you'll learn enough of the modern AI stack to build your own MVP — LLM apps, agents and SaaS plumbing — then layer on the founder skills schools never teach: validating an idea before you build it, talking to customers, pricing, running growth experiments, and the fundamentals of raising money. Every phase ends with something real shipped or learned in the market.

The following six months are real job training. You work hands-on inside our startup incubation alongside AgileSoftLabs — shipping live products to real deadlines with standups and code review, exactly as you would in a working startup. It culminates in a Demo Day where you pitch to hiring partners, the Pondy tech community and investors, and standout teams earn warm introductions and continued incubation support.

Eligibility

Open to anyone 17+ with the drive to build. No prior startup experience needed; basic comfort with technology helps, and we ramp the build skills as we go. A short conversation helps shape your idea and cohort fit.

Module-by-module syllabus.

7 modules, taught by building. Every module ends with a real project you can put on your GitHub.

  • AI product thinking & scoping
  • Designing the user experience
  • Defining your MVP cut-line
  • Competitive & market mapping
  • Deliverable: a product one-pager

What you'll cover

  • LLM APIs & prompt engineering
  • RAG over your own data
  • Simple AI agents & tools
  • Choosing the right model & cost
  • No-code/low-code accelerators

What you'll cover

  • SaaS architecture essentials
  • Auth, accounts & data
  • Building the core product loop
  • Deploying to the cloud
  • Analytics & instrumentation
  • Deliverable: a live MVP
04Weeks 11–12

Customer Discovery & Validation

What you'll cover

  • Customer-interview technique
  • Problem & solution validation
  • Pricing & willingness to pay
  • Defining your ICP
  • Iterating from real feedback
  • Deliverable: validation findings

FAQs

AI Startup Builder — your questions.

How long is the AI Startup Builder course and how is it structured?

It runs 10 months in two phases: a 4-month, build-first founder program (product, MVP, customers, growth and fundraising), followed by 6 months of real, on-the-job training where you build and ship live products inside our startup incubation alongside AgileSoftLabs.

What is the 6-month real job training?

It's hands-on, on-the-job experience — not a classroom. For six months you work on live client and incubation products to real deadlines, with standups, sprints, code review and mentor office hours, and grow your own product with real users. You finish with an experience certificate and references.

Do I need a startup idea before I join?

It helps, but it's not required. Many builders arrive with just the itch to start something. The first module is dedicated to finding a problem worth solving and shaping an AI product around it — with mentor guidance.

Do I need to be a strong coder to build my MVP?

No. We ramp the AI and SaaS build skills as we go, and lean on modern accelerators and low-code where it speeds you up. The goal is a shipped product, so we teach exactly what you need to get there.

What do I actually walk away with?

A live AI SaaS MVP with real users, validated customer insight, a pitch deck and a demo — plus a Demo Day pitch to investors and partners. Standout teams continue with incubation support and investor introductions.

How is this different from the Professional AI Engineer track?

The Professional track (6 months) makes you a hireable AI engineer with a guaranteed internship and placement. AI Startup Builder is a 10-month founder track — 4 months of coursework plus 6 months of real job training — and the outcome is your own launched product and a path to funding.

Is there investor and incubation support?

Yes. The track runs inside our startup incubation alongside AgileSoftLabs, with mentor office hours throughout. Standout teams from Demo Day receive warm investor introductions and continued incubation support.

How do I get the fee details?

We share full fees, EMI options and any current scholarships on your free counselling call, along with guidance on whether the founder track is the right fit for your goals.
